MLB White Sox lose 107 after losing 10 consecutive games

The White Sox lost 0-2 to the 2024 MLB New York Mets at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois on the 2nd (Korea time).

The White Sox had just two hits. White Sox left-hander Garrett Crochet struck out seven batters in a row after the game, setting an American League tie for this category, but failed to laugh.

The White Sox, which lost for 10 consecutive games, lost for the 107th time (31 wins). The team's biggest loss (106 losses) in a season, which was set in 1970, is over the mark of 54 years.

The White Sox went 4-36 in 40 games since the All-Star break.

It is the first time in 59 years that the White Sox have recorded more than 10 consecutive losses in a season this year since the Mets in 1965.

Currently, the White Sox only have a winning rate of 0.225 percent. The lowest winning rate in MLB history since 1901, when the "modern baseball era" began, is 0.235 (36 wins, 1 draw and 117 losses) set by the Philadelphia Athletics in 1916. If this continues, it will break the record of the lowest winning rate in MLB history.

There is a possibility that the Mets will break even the record of 120 losses (40 wins and 1 draw), which was the most lost game in MLB history in 1962.

Before the modern baseball era, MLB's worst record was 20-134 written by the Cleveland Spiders in 1899.

The White Sox struggled in a 21-game losing streak from July 11 against the Minnesota Twins to Aug. 6 against the Oakland Athletics.

Since then, he has replaced manager Pedro Grifol on August 9 and appointed Grady Sizemore as acting manager, but the turnaround is far away.
