Foreign pitcher Danny Reyes was found to have suffered a minor injury. "He was diagnosed with an acute lumbar sprain after a medical examination on Wednesday," Samsung said.

"I feel so great that my team won," Diaz said after the game. "It's not been long since I came to Korea, but I think it was the best game since I came here."

"In the last game, I tried to play actively, so I lost my hand to all the good and bad balls," Diaz said, "I think reflecting on that and swinging for only good balls led to good results."

Samsung manager Park Jin-man also laughed. "Lee Jae-hyun, Kang Min-ho and Diaz led the team to victory by making RBI singles that they needed until the early and mid-season," Park said. "I especially liked the part where Diaz gave three hits and broke the flow of offense."
