Phoenix Project

New for this build:

- Databases should not be usable in previous versions of the software.
- New art for startup screens on devices and during the install process.
- A new help file.
- Product name has been changed in some places (some still need to be updated)

Testing the install over the current version on PPC and I can get in without activating also. I also get the reports from the 2007 install. The collage looks fine as does Mac in Help. I opened another Version number inquiry, I forgot I already had one, see 3265 and 3271

Tested on the Jordana Pocket PC.

I was able to study 4.5 without activating when I installed it over the 4.0 studyware. Case 3273

I was also able to overwrite the 4.0 EXE and DB files with the respective files from 4.5.  This allowed me to study the new database. Case 3280

Tested for 3 hours.

I had the Toshiba Pocket PC e355

I spent about 2 hours testing, but unfortunately much of that time (about 40 minutes) was wasted on trying to get the device to sync to my computer.

I did try copying the database file from the disc to the pda, and i even tried opening it in MS Access, but to no avail.

I didn't find anything that wasn't already reported.

I didn't get to test today, every time i went to go find a PDA someone was using them all :(

Was unable to cause any database mischief on Palm Tungsten E

I spent about 1:40 today testing installation onto a Palm with a Mac, and did a thorough test of the software on the Palm Tungsten E. Everything worked perfectly.

I also spent another 1:30 trying to get 4.5 DBs working on 4.0. I wasn't able to do it, but I was able to use my 4.0 activation info to activate 4.5 (see Case 3286).

Opened Cases 3285 and 3286.

Total time spent: around 3 hours.
