Note: this version is compiled for in-house testing and talks to mcm-dev.com and dev supermac.
Please come see A.J. if you would like to have your account on dev wiped out for testing purposes. Areas to Test: • Program should install properly from the disc. Activation Process: • The personalization Screen now requires an email address. • If the email is an account in dev supermac you will be prompted to login to that account to activate. • If the email is not an account, you will be prompted to create an account. • There is also a “forgot password” feature if the email is an existing account. General Install and Disc Contents Testing: • Verify that the program and database are functioning correctly • Verify that Dex and Waps work • Verify that links to the PDG (page references) work
Windows XP(Shrapnel Chimp)
Auto Activate: the popup with the activation code says "good" and then the activation code. There is no uninstall option in the start menu. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't require you to activate again. I don't know if this will be the standard procedure from now on. Dex problems: - "Unable to initialize skin data" path not found" error when I first open Dex. - Behind the PDG window, there's a "Initialization error" - Clicking "ok" on the above error brings up Dex, only without a list of medals. - Closing Dex brings up a "List index out of bounds" error. - The only way to close Dex is through the Task Manager. WAPS problems: Same errors as Dex, only I can close it without elliciting an error. AutoRun is extremely slow from the disc. So slow in fact that I thought it wasn't going to run without running setup directly from the disc. Tested for about an hour. |
