Just wanted to say Hi.

A huge 6,000 kilometre-long cloudband is currently stretching across Australia.  The cloudband can be seen in satellite images hovering over Western Australia's northwest to the southwestern coast of New Zealand.  Despite the weather phenomenon's grim appearance, Aussies have been told not to worry as it doesn't appear to be bringing much rain along with it, according to Weatherzone.  While some cloudbands can carry huge downpours of rain, meteorologists say the one streaming across Australia this week is 'mostly dry'.  Parts of WA, South Australia, Victoria and southern NSW copped a few millimetres of rain overnight but there isn't expected to be much more wet weather on the way.  As this cloudband is in the mid to high levels of the atmosphere, it isn't containing as much moisture as clouds in lower levels, meaning little to no rainfall.   Sydney is expected to cop some rainfall on Thursday, with a top of 23C.  Melbourne will be mostly dry with temperatures lingering around the low teens, while Canberra will see a maximum of 21C.    A huge 6,000 kilometre-long cloudband is currently stretching across Australia    Be the first to commentBe one of the first to commentComments  Now have YOUR say!  Share your thoughts in the comments.  Comment now Showers are expected in Hobart over the next few days, while Adelaide will be sunny and warm.  Those in Brisbane will enjoy hot and sunny days in the high 20s and low 30s, with Perth to see similar weather.  Darwin has a 50 per chant chance of rain over the next few days with temperatures to soar to 35C.   It comes after a rare northeast cloudband brought intense rainfall across Australia back in July, soaking central, southern and eastern regions of the country.  Parts of Queensland, South Australia and NSW were expected to have been drenched with as much as 60mm over several days.  Western AustraliaSydneyMelbourneNew Zealand
